Mission: Bulid-A-Wardrobe
Overhauling your wardrobe takes chutzpah. My friend Melissa accepted the challenge to upgrade her style. Four hours of shopping and she walked away with numerous neutral separates that can do double and triple duty. Here's the breakdown:
4 - pants (black, gray and taupe) tip: the Loft Scuba pant maybe the most flattering pant ever!
3 - sweaters (sand, black and plum)

Happy Thanksgiving

| muybuenocookbook.wordpress.com Persimmon Mojito Crushed ice 6 ounces light rum 8-10 mint sprigs 4 tablespoons fresh squeezed lime juice Simple syrup (about 4 tablespoons sugar to 4 tablespoons water combined) to taste 2-3 tablespoons persimmon puree, (fuyu variety) Club soda 2 lime slices Directions Puree persimmons (remove skin), in a blender or juicer. Place ice in a beverage shaker, add rum, bruised mint leaves, lime juice, and sugar mixture. Shake well and serve over ice in a high ball glass. Add the persimmon puree and combine gently, and top off with club soda. Garnish with a lime wedge and mint leaves. |

Buffed Beauty: Turquoise
Stylish Texan Judy Aldridge of Atlantis Home wore the most resplendent mix of turquoise in her blog yesterday. It reminded me of some of the intricate pieces my mom wore in the 80's, each piece designed lovingly by an artisan in New Mexico (my Aunt). The pieces below have updated the blue-green rock by swapping out standard sterling silver for lustrous gold.
