Dream Watch

I've professed my love for Michael Kors' tortoise watches in past posts. And I am so happy to post that my obsession became a reality this weekend, I bought the Two-Tone Jet Set Watch in Tortoise and Gold. I have to admit it was a tough decision, I first fell for the Oversized Tortoise Watch (pictured on my wrist below), but the extra gold on the 2-tone strap won out. 

Going, Going, Gone

I am on my way to the desert, headed to a girls' weekend in Vegas. I am going to get my Ginger McKenna on... sans the drugs and man hunting, although I do plan on indulging in a drink or two. I will post again on Monday. Have a great weekend, I know I will.

I am in vacation mode, even though I don't leave for my trip until Thursday. I am sad to report I am already packed, yes I am that excited. The 70's silhouette, long and lean, is a big trend for spring. ASOS's has taken a modern approach to the trend with this look. The colors are so harmonious and the dark yellow border on the maxi skirt's hem... perfection.

I just got Mac's new 'Wonder Woman' Eyeshadow Quad in Valiant. I give this one 4 stars. The packaging drew me in but the colors sealed the deal. Check out the other palettes.

Shades of Lilac

I absolutely adore Anna Dello Russo's outfit. I love the deep plum plumage of the skirt with the tissue thin lilac knit top, they meld together perfectly. And the necklaces... at first glance I thought they were Ethiopian Coptic crosses and was so excited that she layered two of them, unfortunately, they are not. But if she had it would have been a great touch. I included an example of Ethiopian Coptic crosses below, just in case you are unfamiliar with them.

Lauren Conrad's New Line

Lauren Conrad’s new line, Paper Crown is a little underwhelming. Her frocks are beyond simple and definitely wearable, but they feel a lot like what you could find at any mid-price chain store. Don't get me wrong, I'm really not knocking her new line, I just expected more wow pieces. It'll be interesting to see how this brand evolves as she comes into her own as a designer.

A Pretty Shade of Autumn

Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti's Fall 2011 Collection is a nice departure from the prerequisite colors of Autumn. The soft and kitteny knits are delicious. This showing certainly tickles my fancy, but would you feel comfortable wearing this palette in October?
